CHIEF OF POLICE

The Town of Midwest is accepting applications for the position of Chief of Police. This position includes excellent paid benefits and a competitive starting salary is offered, depending on experience and certification. The position includes the performing of professional, administrative, and managerial duties related to planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the enforcement of federal, state, and local laws as needed to preserve the peace and protect citizen rights and property.

 

Must manage police operations, daily community relations, and will be under the Mayor’s supervision. Minimum qualifications for education and experience: Shall be eligible for P.O.S.T. peace officer certification, be a US Citizen at least 21 years old, possess driver’s license and high school diploma/equivalent.

 

Must pass written exam, physical fitness exam, physical, psychological exam and background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
